Really enjoyed Megan and Roley's wedding a couple weeks ago.  Great couple, fun to be with, and easy to photograph.  I was disappointed to see that Roley cut his mohawk for the wedding, but oh well, he's a nice young man and dressed the part :)  Best wishes to you two!!

Incredible work with the flashes. That's the kind of stuff that takes a long time to set up, so I'm really impressed how many shot you got quickly.

How'd you light the shot with the guys that has them at all different depths?

Hey Tyler! Great to hear from you man!! So, when they heck are we going to get together?? So, everything inside was actually lit with a Canon 580exII shooting through an umbrella. Since it was pretty dark in there, I actually needed a small flash that could dial the power way down. Once we had it set to mix with the ambient, we had a pretty good baseline to follow. anyway, mounted on a 10 ft. light stand, my assistant Linda was holding it high in the air pointed down. Basically, we used the light stand more like a boom arm. But the one last trick with this light is that you can manually set the zoom. That becomes a thing of beauty when you have big groups. Basically, set the zoom to 24mm, and it's the equivalent of putting a wide beam reflector on your studio flash. Hence lighting the fellas at different depths with just one flash. Hope this helps!

Dude! Nice work! The OCF work is incredible. I never would have guessed those indoor shots were taken with the 580. Good stuff.
